This retro tortoise (or is it a turtle?) printed child's top has been made from a vintage piece of fabric. I think the fabric was probably a cot sheet, or similar, and has a fabulous 70's vibe and slightly faded feel to it. 
 
I had to carefully avoid a couple of small holes in the fabric so just had enough to make two of these T shirt style tops, one in size 12-18m (to fit chest 20") and another in size 18-24m (to fit chest 21")
 
They both have short 'grown on' sleeves, a popper fastening at the back and a little green gingham pocket on the front. The fit is generous and boxy so should fit for more than one season. 
 
I believe they are 100% cotton (the fabric had no labels when I purchased it but a burn test confirmed that it was a natural fibre) 
Easy to wash at 30 degrees using a non biological detergent to preserve the colours. Warm iron if necessary on the reverse side.
